Eric Roux has been a musician, a singer and a songwriter for his entire life, and started performing concerts at the age of 15. At the age of 20 he accepted a religious position in the Church of Scientology (his faith) and since then ran both activities simultaneously. He engaged in interfaith cooperation and ran inter-religious activities internationally for two decades now. He is currently a co-Chair of the Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) Roundtable in EU and a member of the Executive Committee of URI (United Religions Initiative) and a Trustee for Europe of its Global Council. As part of its interfaith activities, it has often emphasized the role of artists, and especially music, in reconciliation activities. He has organized numerous concerts designed to foster an environment of peace and dialogue amongst people of different faiths, cultures and ethnicities.

Angelina Vladikova has been an interfaith activist for decades. She has been an expert in working with youth and bringing a spirit of tolerance, eagerness for knowledge and intercultural and inter-religious friendship to thousands of children and young people. She has focused her activity in using art to foster practical dialogue among people from different faiths. From 2015 she organized dozens of cultural events and art performances, combining dance, music, songs and visual arts. She is the chair of an NGO for interfaith and intercultural dialogue, called BRIDGES – Eastern European Forum for Dialogue, which won the First Prize for the King Abdullah II UN World Interfaith Harmony Week 2024 with the interfaith and intercultural art-performance “Gift of Love”, organized under her leadership. Angelina is an Orthodox Christian, with Master degree in Ecumenical Theology from Geneva University and the Ecumenical Institute in Chateau de Bossey, Switzerland

Leonid Sevastianov comes from a hereditary Old Believer family. He is an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, a public figure, and head of the Worldwide Union of Old Believers. After school, at the age of 17, he entered the Moscow Theological Seminary. After graduating from the seminary, he was sent to study at the Gregorian University in Rome, where from 1999 to 2002 he took a course in political philosophy. From 2002 to 2004 he studied at Georgetown University in Washington, where he received a master’s degree in international relations. Leonid became later a music and film producer, and organized concerts with dozens of world-class artists. He is deeply committed to ecumenical and interfaith dialogue and to the fostering of peace through the arts.

THE FOUNDING MUSICIANS

Svetlana Kasyan is a soprano opera singer of Georgian-Kurdish origin. She is the winner of the 2019 Premio Internazionale “Penisola Sorrentina” Arturo Esposito and the 2011 International Vocal Competition in Ningbo City, China. Her operatic engagements include the title role TOSCA (Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro La Fenice, Polish National Opera, Bolshoi Theatre, Theater St Gallen and Vilnius City Opera); title role AIDA (Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi, Trieste and Arena di Verona); GIORGETTA Il tabarro and title role SUOR ANGELICA (Teatro Comunale, Ferrara); CIO-CIO-SAN Madama Butterfly (Teatro la Fenice); title role MANON LESCAUT and ELISABETTA Don Carlo (Teatro Regio, Torino); ODABELLA Attila (Teatro Luciano Pavarotti, Modena), etc. Svetlana’s album ‘Fratelli Tutti’, a collection of 14 songs sung in 14 languages, was dedicated to her good friend Pope Francis who bestowed on her the star of the Lady of the Grand Cross of the Pontifical Order of Saint Sylvester. Svetlana, whom the great composer Mikis Theodorakis called the new Maria Callas, once decided her life and her voice should be dedicated to bring peace and spirituality to the world, and to the lives of people.

Cyprien Katsaris is a French-Cypriot pianist and composer. He first began to play the piano at the age of four, in Cameroon where he spent his childhood. He won the International Young Interpreters Rostrum-UNESCO (Bratislava 1977), the First Prize in the International Cziffra Competition (Versailles 1974) and he was the only western-European prize-winner at the 1972 Queen Elisabeth of Belgium International Competition. He was also awarded the Albert Roussel Foundation Prize (Paris 1970) and the Alex de Vries Foundation Prize (Antwerp 1972). His major international career includes performances with the world’s greatest orchestras, most notably The Berlin Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, SWR Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and dozens of others. He also played, as a soloist, at Carnegie Hall, New York City on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Chopin’s death. He has been honoured and recognized by the awards: “Artist of UNESCO for Peace”, “Commandeur de l’Ordre de Mérite du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg” (2009) and “Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters” (France 2000). He also received the “Médaille Vermeil de la Ville de Paris” (2001) and the “Nemitsas Prize” (Cyprus, 2011). He always dedicated his life to bringing a spiritual uplifting to people through music.

Agleya Kaneva, from the old city of Plovdiv, specializes in percussion instruments. She is a member of the percussion ensemble “Presto,” where she plays percussion and sings. Three years ago, Agleya, together with Alexander Vichev, formed a percussion duo. They impress with their active concert activity, which is admirable and unparalleled for their young age. In 2023, they fulfilled their dream of performing with a symphony orchestra. In 2023, the percussion duo participated in the largest international competitions for classical musicians and won many distinctions all over Europe, including France Music Competition 2024 – 1er Prix à l’unanimité, First prize at the Paris International Music Competition I – 2024, category Musique de Chambre, First prize in the chamber music category at the Jean Sibelius International Competition (JSFest) in Turku, Finland, Special prize from the Symphony Orchestra Rossini ATTESTATO DI MERITO, and many others. Agleya Kaneva is not only dedicated to percussion instruments, but she also sings pop and jazz music. She has many top awards from international and national music competitions. For her, it is important not only to be a good musician but also to develop qualities that build her as a person with empathy and love for people and the world, and that’s why she happily participates in charitable initiatives.

Angelie (birth name Angelina Saparevska) is a singer songwriter, a composer and a trumpetist. She has won dozens of competitions as: May 2017, Arpeggio International Competition in La Valletta, Malta- second prize, vocal solo.- February 2018, International Competition “Stars of the Albion”, London, UK – second prize, vocal solo.- June 2018, International Piano Competition “New Pianists”, Professionals, Sofia – first prize, piano.- 2019, International Piano Competition for Instrumentalists, Pernik – Cervantes Institute Special Prize for best performance of a work by a Spanish author, piano.- 2019, International Jazz Orchestra Festival, Cincinnati (USA), Grand Prize as part of the National School of Music. Jazz Orchestra, trumpet.- 2020, first prize in the Solfège and Music Literature Competition organized by the National School of Music.- October 2022, National Competition “Eclectica Union Kids” for writing a new children’s song for symphony orchestra, no age limit, first prize for the song “My Music” – text and music by herself, arrangement by Minko Lambov. Angelie is the founder and leader of the youth instrumental group “Angelie and the Angels” which performs jazz, blues and gospel music, covers and original songs. She is also part of the Bulgarian National School of Music Brass Band led by Villy Stoyanov. She strongly believes that music can build bridges among people and transmit messages for peace to the world.

Of Israeli origin, Sanya Kroitor is a musician born in Moldova who began learning the violin at the age of 7. He is one of the most brilliant and charismatic violinists of his generation. The passion passed on to him by his father, a famous accordionist in Moldavia and the former USSR. The artist first tackled classical music, and soon drifted into jazz, folk and Jewish music.For Sanya Kroitor, it’s not enough to play music, you have to live it and feel it in every note. Between jazz, folk, classical and traditional music, the artist lives and improvises in a rich universe all her own. In his view, hard work and talent are two inseparable and indispensable factors for success. In 1992, Sanya Kroitor moved to Israel and joined Miki Gavrielov’s band. He went on to collaborate with a host of artists including Shlomi Shabat, David “Dudu” Fischer, Alaina and David Deor. After a large number of collaborations and concerts around the world, Sanya Kroitor embarked on a solo career, unveiling his debut album “All in One” in 2003. The same year, he formed a band and toured Israel. He has been dubbed the “New Paganini”. He immersed himself in the world of jazz and improvisation, listening to his greatest masters: Stéphane Grapelli, Jean Luc Ponty, Didier Lockwood… as well as traditional Klezmer music, which is an integral part of his culture. He has recorded numerous albums and now performs all over the world with his 7-piece band. Sanya Kroïtor is also a composer.

Born in 1972 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, into a family of musicians, Ustad Ibrahim Ibrahimi is a renowned master of tabla – classical and traditional percussion – and music composer. A graduate of the Mia Sahib Qader Bakhsh Music High School, he studied with Ustad Sabz Ali Khan. He teaches at the National Music Institute of Afghanistan and works for Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA). He participates in traditional as well as classical, pop, jazz and rock ensembles, accompanying numerous musicians. He performs internationally: in Iran, India, Azerbaijan, Turkey… He took refuge in France in August 2021 after the Taliban took Kabul, and became a member of the Artists in Exile Workshop. He is now touring in Europe with his band ENSEMBLE IBRAHIMI, sharing the traditional music of Afghanistan with new audiences and collaborating with musicians of other traditions to show that music is beyond borders.

Born in 1995 in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, Humayoun Ibrahimi is a musician and composer of traditional Afghan music. He began playing tabla, dholak and percussion at an early age with his father, Ibrahim Ibrahimi. In 2014, he studied business administration in Kabul. In 2017, after being threatened by the Talibans, he and his brother Haroon, a skilled rubab (a lute-like musical instrument) player, left the country via Greece, where he gave music lessons and played with several bands. He arrived in Paris at the end of 2018, where he performed in concerts and festivals, notably at UNESCO. He is a member of l’atelier des artistes en exil. He is the founder and leader of the group ENSEMBLE IBRAHIMI, which now plays all over France and Europe.
