What (and why) we do

Music has the power to transform any conflictual attitude into aesthetic and love. If two persons compose a song together, be they coming from two countries at war, there are chances that they will never be enemies anymore. If two persons listen to a great piece of music together, were they enemies before, after being touched by the same musical flow at the same time, they will certainly struggle to keep their enemy attitude in shape.

We at IAMU also believe that musicians can also spread values and peace through example. Seeing and listening to several musicians that come from various religious, ethnic, nationalities backgrounds, is the best evidence that we can live together in peace, that we can create together, and that we can cooperate for a better world together. It increases tolerance around, respect and the ability to grant life and dignity to all beings.

That’s why we intend to co-create great pieces of music made of diverse cultural background, that embody the spirit of unity and diversity that triggered our commitment to IAMU. That means creating and recording songs, performances and concerts with great musicians from all over the world, with all kinds of spiritual or religious backgrounds, harmonizing different types of music weaving into musical aesthetic and energy that can help healing the world. And if there is one thing we can be sure of, it’s that the world needs it.

The purpose of IAMU is to unite musicians from different cultures, traditions and religions in the pursuit of world peace and freedom and use music to promote respect for fundamental freedoms worldwide as well as promote music as a means of forging peace between peoples, nations, ethnic groups and individuals.

We are united for peace and freedom.

We believe the world can be a better place.

We believe musicians may have a role to play in making it a better place.

We create bridges between cultures. We create bridges between religions.

We create bridges between worldviews. We create bridges between people.

Through music. And it rocks!
